Final CarFest tickets go on sale
The final tickets for this summer’s CarFest family festivals will go on sale during Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show at 8am on Thursday 28 April.
Now entering its fifth season, CarFest continues to offer a family-friendly mix of cars, music, food and fun.
While CarFest South (26-28 August) remains at its original home of Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire, an expanded CarFest North (29-31 July) moves to Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire.
As well as providing more than a third of a million festival goers with a weekend’s entertainment, the eight sell-out festivals staged to date have raised £6.7m for BBC Children in Need.
This year’s high-octane track sprint show will be split into two sections. First up, the ‘Time Tunnel’ will visitors on an evolutionary journey of motoring history from early Edwardian pioneers to some futuristic treats.
The second phase of track action will include displays by the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, the Top Gear Live Stunt Team plus power laps by The Stig.
And as the engines stop, the music starts. This year’s acts include Will Young, Bryan Adams, The Corrs, James Morrison and Squeeze.
While revs and riffs are the CarFest lifeblood, they are just part of the line-up, which this year’s includes the stars of Strictly Come Dancing, and an array of foodie fun.
Those not wanting to miss out when the remaining tickets are released on Thursday morning are strongly advised to log onto the official www.carfest.org website in advance and use the navigation to access the stress-busting ‘Tips for Buying Tickets’ section.
