1960 Morris Minor to Undertake 2,000 Mile Round Britain Marathon in Aid of Marie Curie
The Morris Minor Owners Club is to take a 1960 Morris Minor on a 2,000 mile round Britain Marathon starting at John O’ Groats and ending at Land’s End in aid of the Marie Curie cancer treatment charity.
The 2,000-mile route will encompass Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Wales and Jersey, stopping off at individual branches of the MMOC for separate fundraising events.
It is anticipated that the run will start on 16th September 2016 and take a total time of about a month.
There is a provisional calendar, but dates may well change or firm-up allowing for servicing of the car, ferry crossings, etc., and events such as the Goodwood Revival.
