Goodwood Revival 2014 to keep Britain's motoring history on track
Published 20 August 2014
Visitors to this year’s Goodwood Revival will being doing their bit to keep one of Britain’s most iconic Grand Prix cars running.
Goodwood has named the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu as this year’s beneficiary – and money raised will go towards making sure a 1950 BRM V16 Type 15 remains in running order for future generations.
The car took its maiden race victory, with Reg Parnell behind the wheel, at Goodwood in September 1950 in the Woodcote Cup and added another win later the same day in the Goodwood Trophy race for Formula One machines against a line-up that included Sir Stirling Moss and future Le Mans winner Duncan Hamilton.
