Win tickets to the NEC Classic Motor Show

Published 24 October 2013

This year’s NEC Classic Motor Show takes place on the 15,16 and 17 November in Birmingham and you could be going for free courtesy of HonestJohn.co.uk.

The NEC Classic Motor Show is the biggest event of its kind in the UK, spanning 11 halls, with 1500 cars and 250 historic motoring clubs showcasing their marques.

One of the most famous cars on display will be Roger Moore’s Volvo P1800, fresh from its restoration. The car was found in a Welsh barn 20 years ago and has been painstaking restored by its owner, Kevin Price. The Volvo will be joined by hundreds of other projects and visitors will get the chance to meet some of industry's best known experts to discuss restoration techniques and preservation ideas.

This year's show will also feature a number of significant milestones, with the biggest being the Morris centenary celebration. Around 16 Morris clubs will be taking part in the festivities, featuring 25 'best of the best' cars from the past 100 years. The Bullnose Morris Club will be one of the highlights, displaying a 1921 Bullnose Cabriolet, a 1925 Bullnose Oxford Saloon and a seldom seen 1928 Flatnose ¾ Coupe.

The Morris Minor Owners Club, Oxford Owners Club and Minor LCV Register are also promising spectacular displays as the clubs unite to mark a superb landmark.

Silverstone Auctions’ will be hosting two car auctions at the show, offering everything from everyday classics to Juan Manuel Fangio’s 1970 Ika Torino. If your budget doesn’t quite stretch to buying a new classic, then there will also be a huge trader village selling everything from spare parts to automobilia.

For your chance to win a pair of one day tickets, worth around £50, email and tell us why you love your classic car: Competitions@honestjohn.co.uk

The cars with the best stories will win a pair of tickets and the deadline for entries is 1 November.
