New Manchester Classic car show takes shape

Almost 60 classic car clubs are now confirmed for the Footman James Manchester Classic Car Show on 21-22 September. Organisers describe the collection of cars that visitors will be treated to as a ‘large, diverse and eclectic collection of some of the UK’s most cherished vehicles’.
The show is being held in the EventCity exhibition centre, and also houses trade stands, autojumble, restoration demonstrations, and all-new concours competition and live action.
Andy Rouse, of show-organisers One Louder Events Ltd said: 'The response from clubs on both a regional and national level has been fantastic. We’re basically full! When you’re launching an event like this you’re never quite sure how it’ll be received. It’s therefore extremely inspiring to get such wonderful levels of enthusiasm from the classic car club community.
'We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to all those clubs who’ve applied for space and we look forward to welcoming everybody to the show. In the meantime please check the website www.manchesterclassiccarshow.com  for news and exhibitor listing updates. Any clubs still wishing to apply please do so, we have maybe just enough room for one or two more as we speak – but please be super-quick!'
Footman James’ managing director Andy Fairchild added: 'The car clubs are the lifeblood of the classic industry and it is fantastic to have their support for this brand new show.  As a long-term partner of many car clubs in the UK we look forward to working together to create an exciting new event for classic fans in the north to enjoy.'
