A Grand Monday: BMW 3-series Touring - £1200

Values of BMW E30 estates have been going up steadily over the past 18 months, so this tidy 1990 318i Touring for sale at £1200 is definitely worth a look. Its low price is probably because it’s an automatic. But don’t let that put you off – this car, which is for sale in Sheffield, has been well looked after.

With 77,000 miles on the clock, it’s been treated to a recent service. That work included new belts, thermostat, water pump, alternator and battery. It comes with an MoT until June 2016. But while its body looks fairly rot-free, it does have a few age-related marks. There’s a ding on the lower part of offside rear door. And there are a few small scratches here and there.

Nevertheless, the paintwork looks good and – as you can see from the pictures – it polishes up a treat. Inside, the interior looks to be in good condition – although like so many E30s the headlining is sagging. The seller reports that all the electrics are good with the 1990s stereo in working order and the (unopenened) first aid kit still in the boot… next to its original toolkit. Always a good sign.
