Rare 1969 Jensen FF in Historics 23rd November auction

Published 17 November 2019

One of only 193 built, the Jensen FF came with two important innovations: Ferguson Formula four-wheel drive and Dunlop Maxaret anti-lock brakes.

Powered by a 6,276cc Chrysler hemi V8 engine with power fed through a Torqueflite automatic transmission it had a top speed of 140mph and could get to 100 in 19 seconds. The body, with distinctive glasshouse rear window, is by Touring of Milan. This RHD car comes in ‘Mango’ orange and features an appropriate leather and wood interior. Restored over 2008/2009, it has been properly cherished and driven a mere 2,500 miles since. The registration is ‘FFZ171’. It is estimated at £73,000 to £80,000.

Jensen Interceptor III Convertible 1974 Historics

The sale also features a RHD 1974 Jensen Interceptor Mk III convertible. This car comes with a larger 7,212cc Chrysler V8 and is one of 506 Interceptor convertibles built. The original specification included electric windows, reclining front seats, power steering and a wood rimmed steering wheel, radio with twin speakers, reversing lights and an electric clock. With a low mileage of just 28,426 recorded, he original service books are present together with letters from Jensen Motors Ltd and a Statement of Origin. The 7,212cc, V8 engine sounds superb and we are advised she drives with no known faults. The only reason for selling this Interceptor is due to lack of storage space. It is estimated at £56,000 to £64,000.
