Extra Day’s Viewing for Historics 23rd November Auction at Mercedes Benz World
Historics has so much to offer at its 23rd November Classic Car Auction at Mercedes Benz World, Brooklands, it is holding an extra day’s viewing on Wednesday 20th November from 12pm to 4pm.
As well as the outstanding cars already listed in our previous previews, this time we concentrate on Mercedes Benz of which there are no less than 30 in the sale.
Lot 187 is a magnificent LHD 1971 Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman, “long enough to have a bowling alley in the back.” Truly huge on the longer 153-inch wheelbase and one of only 304 built with sumptuous facing rear seats, cocktail cabinet and a forest of beautifully refurbished wood. Under the bonnet sits a dry sump 250HP 6.3 litre V8 and the odometer reads just 27,543 kilometres. It is estimated at £230,000 to £270,000.
Lot 157 is a RHD 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS 6.3. It features AMG’s hand built dry sup 6.2 litre naturally aspirated V8 with 571HP giving a 0-60 of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 197mph. This RHD car is black on black and with optional memory package, AMG performance steering wheel, tyre pressure monitors, adjustable suspension, heated and electronically operated seats and blind spot assist. Breath-taking performance and estimated at £100,000 to £125,000.
Lot 184 is a stunning LHD Mercedes-Bens 280SE cabriolet 2.5 litre V8 that is quite exceptional from its unblemished Ice Blue paintwork and perfect extensive chromework. A truly wonderful fair-weather car and probably one of the finest available in the World. It is estimated at £220,000 to £250,000.
