‘Timewarp’ Ford Escort RS Turbo to go under the hammer

Published 24 June 2019

A ‘timewarp’ 1990 Ford Escort RS 1600 Turbo is going under the hammer. The car, a H-registered model that must be one of the most original examples currently on the market, has covered just 43,000 miles.

Original inside and out, it has been with its current owner since new and comes with a complete history file. It was bought from Ford dealer Godfrey Davis and comes with all of its book packs and two sets of keys.

Never restored, it boasts date-stamped panels and has been owned by a Ford master technician who has overseen all the car’s maintenance.

It is totally original even down to the hoses which are original Ford. The spare wheel has never been on the car. The history file contains every invoice from day one including the bill of sale.

The car will be auctioned as part of H&H’s online sale on Wednesday, 3 July. It is expected to fetch between £28,000 and £32,000.
