Aston Martin DB4, DB5 and DB6 in Historics Auction on 18th May
Not just one, but three classic DB Aston Martins come up for sale at Historics 18th May action at Mercedes Benz World.
Oldest on the list and one of the most beautiful British cars ever built, is this stunning matching numbers RHD 1960 Aston Martin DB4 SII originally sold to Mr. R. G. Lawrence in Norwich by Aston Martin dealers Brooklands of Bond Street, London on 17th August, 1960. It then went to France and was purchased by its present owner in 2016. The history file has invoice records detailing all work carried out each year from 2016 to 2019 by Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell which total £38,942. Even the original clock and radio are in full working order. Estimate: £380,000 to £410,000.
The next generation is this glorious RHD 1964 Aston Martin DB5 4-speed manual, one of only 1,021 DB5s originally built. This matching numbers car, finished in Silver Birch, has been sympathetically modernized with the fitting of power assisted steering, satellite navigation and Bluetooth. It is estimated at £525 to £575,000.
Finally, a sensational triple-carb RHD 1968 Aston Martin DB6 Volante automatic convertible, finished in Old English Pewter with cream Connolly leather upholstery and fitted with power steering. Maintained throughout its life regardless of cost, it is estimated at £590,000 to £670,000.
Altogether, 180 vehicles in the auction including two Mercedes McClarens, a Maybach 62 and 25 cars at no reserve..
