World's Nicest '50 Mercury Custom in Mecum Monterey Auction
Published 10 August 2018
We're saying it, but the '50 Mercury Custom Coupe in Mecum's Monterey auction 23rd-25th August looks the most tasteful '49-'51 Mercury Custom Coupe we've ever seen.
First shown at SEMA in bare metal and now in stunning custom mixed Black Cherry with Sandalwood leather interior the car has taken 7 years to build.

GMP Cars in Novato, California did the 2-inch chopped top body and paint. The car sits on a spec-built Art Morrison chassis with Ride Tech airbag suspension, rack and pinion steering a four link rear axle and Willwood disc brakes.

Spec includes a Ford Racing 302 CI crate engine, Holley Terminator fuel injection, 200R4 overdrive transmission, narrowed 9 inch rear end, Strange 4.11 ring and pinion and axles, Vintage Air, custom HID headlights, custom HRE wheels, redesigned front and rear bumpers to flow with the body lines. No detail has been spared to bring this as close to perfection as possible.
It is estimated at $200,000 - $230,000
