Capri Brooklands heads to auction

A Ford Capri 280 Brooklands is one of the highlights of Barons’ next auction. The car, which is one of 1038 made, will go under the hammer at Sandown Park on 5 June.
Registered in 1987, it is finished in the original Brooklands metallic green with red and white pin striping and is said to be in excellent condition having been garaged for the past 22 years.
With 72k on the clock, the car is still on its original engine and gearbox and could fetch between £22,000 and £29,000.
Other sale highlights include a 1961 Triumph TR3A (estimate: £18,000-£23,000) and a 1969 Daimler V8 250 (estimate: £9,000-£12,000).
