Pair of Lancias head to auction

Published 27 April 2018

Two tempting Lancias are going under the hammer in May. The Lancia Aprilia Farina Cabriolet and Lancia Aurelia B20 GT Series IV will go to auction on 19 May.

Considered as one of the best examples of Pininfarina’s post-war cabriolets, the elegant Lancia Aprilia is one of just ten chassis to receive the attention of Batista Farina himself.

Built in 1946, the Aprilia was restored during five years with work including a bare metal respray and full interior refurbishment. The Aprilia was finished in gleaming white with a wine-red leather interior and a bespoke hood in dark blue mohair. Now the car could fetch up to £250,000.

The second of the Lancias for sale is an Aurelia B20 GT Series IV - one of 573 original, UK-supplied right-hand drive models built during 1954. The design combined both luxury and performance, and featured world's first series-production V6 engine.

Restored in the 1990s and finished in Baby Blue (Azzuro Agnano-Celeste Aurelia) with Oatmeal upholstered interior with Tan leather piping, the Aurelia presents well. After recent expenditure of more than £7000 with marque specialist Omnicron, the Aurelia carries an estimate of £100,000 to £120,000.
