Ferrari 330 GT for sale at Race Retro
A 1965 Ferrari 330 GT is going under the hammer. The 2+2 Series 1 car is one of 44 UK right-hand drive examples. It will be sold at Silverstone Auctions Race Retro classic car sale next month.
When it was launched in 1964, the 330 GT 2+2 was the fastest road-going Ferrari, thanks largely to its 300bhp V12 engine that propelled the car from standstill to 62mph in 6.3 seconds.
Adam Rutter, classic car specialist at Silverstone Auctions, said it was for a right-hand drive 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 example to come to market. Rutter, added: ‘We expect bidding to be strong as this exquisite model is offered with a comprehensive history and is very distinctive with its quad headlights, truly evocative of 1960s fashion.’

Styled by Pininfarina with a sharp nose and tail, a wide grille and its characteristic four-headlights, chassis number #6875 is finished in Grigio Argento. It was optioned with wire wheels and power-operated windows, together with a Pelle Nera Franzi leather interior.
It has been owned by the vendor for ten years and has had work done on the cylinder head as well as a gearbox rebuild. It has had new sills and floor panels, as well as a respray.
The car is expected to fetch between £160,000 and £190,000 when it goes under the hammer over the weekend of 24-25 February at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. For more information, visit silverstoneauctions.com.
