Rowan Atkinson’s Land Rover Defender for sale
A limited edition 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 Heritage belonging to famous English actor, comedian, and screenwriter Rowan Atkinson is heading to auction.
The special Heritage edition – one of only 400 examples made to celebrate the end of Defender production – will be hammered away by Silverstone Auctions at the Silverstone Classic on 29-30 July.
Combining classic design with modern creature comforts, the Heritage edition features the Grasmere Green metallic paintwork, Alaska White roof, heritage style grille, headlamp surrounds, silver front bumpers, heavy-duty steel wheels and HUE 166 graphics - a tribute to the first ever pre-production Series One Land Rover from 1947.
Inside, there’s an aluminium clock, aluminium door handles and perforated leather on the steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake, as well as cloth seats with vinyl sides and backs. A padded cubby box and Heritage logo rubber mats complete the look. An upgraded DBS stereo, mud flaps, tow bar, and bespoke dog guard also feature in this example.

First serviced by Lookers of Battersea on 6 June, 2017, the Land Rover has covered 2260 miles and is estimated to fetch between £38,000 and £45,000 when it goes to auction (new they cost around £31k).
Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said, ‘This distinctive limited edition is sure to be highly sought-after, offering buyers and collectors a slice of exclusive Land Rover history, and, with celebrity ownership by the hugely successful and admired Rowan Atkinson, this particular car has even more added appeal.’
