Mercedes 190SL resto project heads to auction for no reserve

A 1960 Mercedes Benz 190SL found in an old garage in Solihull is heading to auction with no reserve. The project is expected to make up to £50,000 when it goes under the hammer at the H&H Classic sale at Duxford on 26 July.
The 57-year-old classic sports roadster has been in the same ownership for the past 40 years. Designed as a more affordable version of its the 300SL (W198), the 120bhp model boasted a top speed of 175km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 11 seconds when new.
