Brightwells Bicester Heritage Auction Updated Results
There were some big winners but also a few losers at Brightwells impeccably run classic car auction at Bicester Heritage today.
A significant winner was the 1927 Sunbeam 25HP that during WW2 had seen service as a breakdown truck before being restored to its original magnificence as an open tourer. After a lengthy bidding battle it sold for £45,716 inc.

The well loved and well used 1931 Lagonda 2.0 litre Low Chassis Speed model saloon made much more than I expected at £42,000 inc.

The 1923 Vauxhall OD 20-60 Kington tourer that had been restored to perfection ran out of bids at £67,200 inc., but was finally sold for £72,800.

The 1955 Aston Martin DB 2/4 was a no sale at £117,600 inc.

And the lovely 1961 Lancia Flaminia convertible by Touring stuck at £106,400 inc.

But the 1927 Delage DIS with Australian Phizakerley body beat its estimates to sell for £50,400.

And the best 1957 Austin A35 I’ve ever seen also beat its estimate selling for £8,960 inc.
