E28 M5 sells for £20k at auction
An 1987 E28 M5 sold for £19,610 at Classic Car Auctions sale on Saturday, 6 June. The car was part of a collection of M5s going under the hammer at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.
Top seller from the collection was a 2010 E60 M5. Number seven of just 25 made to celebrate the model’s 25th anniversary, it made £26,500.
The E34 M5 Saloon sold for £6360, while our favourite, the E34 M5 Touring, one of just 891 cars produced, sold for £6148.
Away from the M5s, buyer’s were fighting over an original UK 1992 Lanica Delta Integrale Evo, which sold for £22,790.

Another original UK, right-hand drive Italian car, a 1975 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce, sold for a £11,872.
A timewarp Ford Escort Mk2 that had spent most of its life in Switzerland also proved popular, selling for more than £4200.
Finished in its original gold paint, with a beige velour interior, the 1979 car had full service history and a genuine 31,000 miles on its odometer.
As well as its original Ford wallet, toolkit and wheel changing kit, the four-door auto was sold with a period first aid kit, sewing kit and playing cards in its glovebox.
