18-mile Mini could make £15k at auction
A Mini with just 18 miles on the clock is expected to fetch up to £15k when it goes under the hammer next month.
The black Mini 30 special edition, which has been in storage for the past 25 years, will be offered for sale at Anglia Car Auctions on 4 April.
Just 3000 Mini 30s were made to celebrate the iconic model’s 30th birthday – 2000 in Cherry Red Pearlescent and 1000 in black.
Another Mini from the same owner has is similarly low-mileage, having covered just 137 miles, and carries an estimate of £10,000-£15,000.
The cars, from the same source, were registered with the same sequence of digits and have been stored in a heated garage since 1989.
Both are completely original, retaining their original alloy wheels and unique Mini 30 trim. Both cars still have their handbooks, brochures, and commemorative books by Rob Golding as originally provided by Austin Rover.
Lyn George, Anglia Car Auctions’ proprietor, said, ‘These cars are bound to attract Mini collectors from all over, especially being such low mileage Mini 30s in pristine condition.
Anglia Car Auctions’ classic sale takes place on Saturday, 4 April, doors open at 10am, sale starts at 12pm. Entries are now being accepted. Previous sale results can be viewed at www.angliacarauctions.co.uk.
