1966 Ford Thunderbird 428 Up For Auction
A 1966 '4th generation' Ford Thunderbird 428 coupe is to go under the hammer at BCA Blackbushe on Wednesday 16th July.
In maroon metallic and on optional chrome wires with whitewall tyres, this Thunderbird was imported into the UK around seven years ago with VOSA documentation to support this.
It has been sympathetically restored to a good standard and retains many original features.
The interior is finished in cream leather with lots of chrome detailing.
The boot has the original typical American checked liner and the 428 V8 is beautifully detailed with chrome.
The car is offered with an MOT until April 2015.

(The standard engine for the 1966 model year T-Bird was a 390 inch V8. The 428 was optional and developed a nominal 345HP. There was a very rare special order 'race spec' 427 available through certain Ford dealers for 1963-1965 Thunderbirds, but only 120 of these 'high performance' models were made, usually built up by specialists or dealers. The big block option for 1966 was the softer 428. Wikepedia)
