Classic cars put to work
Employees at one of the UK’s leading classic car insurance brokers drove their classic cars into work yesterday, Wednesday 10 September, in support of Drive Your Classic to Work Week.
Staff at West Midlands-based Footman James are supporting the initiative, which takes place between 6-14 September.
The initiative is now in its fourth year and aims to show the wider public how classic owners keep the nation’s motoring heritage alive by using their cars on the daily commute.
Some of the cars that got a run in to work were a 1989 Austin Mini Mayfair, a 1971 VW Camper, a 1979 Austin Mini and a 1989 Austin Mini Mayfair.
David Bond, Footman James director, said, ‘We thoroughly support such initiatives which bring classic cars out into the public arena. Many of our employees are classic enthusiasts themselves so what better way to show them off by supporting such a fantastic initiative!’
