Hi all im looking for some help and advice on how to buy a Volvo duett 1964 EPA A-Traktor in sweden and bring it back to the uk. Would like to drive back nice road trip. After lots of reading it looks like i would need to get a temp reg over there to take it out the country but not sure, as some say you cant buy a car there without a Personal Number and some say you do. so im a bit lost, and im not sure how it works for a Foreigner to buy a a car there and drive it straight out the country if its road legal or on a trailer?. and what cost would be involved once i get here,

Any help and advice is very welcome.... Read more

Nice old cars, I alway cal it the Thinking mans BMW, I have had a few, the best one was a 97 GLS auto, I must confess it did have the 2.5 BMW diesel engine it was fast reliable very good on fuel & very comfortable, the best thing was it was less than half the price of a BMW 5 serris of the same year and spec, but every bit as good to drive.

This is certainly one to use and enjoy, when did you last see one, therefore it has to be classed as a classic. Read more

Possibly the most honest car I have owned, and by that I mean when driving at er-hum speeds this totally honest beauty hid no surprises whatsoever and simply went where you pointed it.

This artice has set my mind going as an estate version of one of these could be the perfect machine to answer my needs.

The 230 kompressor is the best one, plenty of go and good on fuel, look after it and do hundreds of thousands of miles. The V6 320 is great, but in the real word there is no point in it when the 230 is so good. If you don't like automatics then don't but one, the manual box is horrible and really spoils the car. Apart from that the only two downsides to owning one, rust but that’s curable, the other the stupidly small boot when the roof is down. Why Mercedes didn't offer a soft top option is beyond me. People seem to like the all weather protection and the security of the hard top but as many are used as second cars I would have preferred a good sized boot that can be used with the hood either up or down. The car itself is a capable long distance cruiser but if you're going away for a few days holiday you'll be very limited on what you can take with you. Therefore you will probably end up missing out on this great car and buy something that can be used with the roof down and still have luggage space, so that will be an MX-5 for me please. Read more

I've seen this one up close, we are so lucky that roof mounted mirror never caught on, but a lot of the other safety features did. I can't make MG live event but anyone with an interest in any MG should go it’s a great event and worth the money. Read more
