Overall reliability

Durable, dependable and comfortable method of getting from A to B

I purchased this car as at 110K miles to use as a motorway commuter. Contrary to common practice I deleribratly wanted a car with more than 100K on it as it would be less likely to have suffered from short trips and cold running. The car was mechanically faultless at except for a dodgy radiator and "the aircon has just had a topup--works great now". There were lots of invoices for components that usually require replacing after 100K.

My gamble paid off as the car now has 210K on it after 6 years with no major failures. The first 4 years gave me almost "new car" levels of reliability.

Bad
Slow off the mark, hard to keep up with modern traffic from the lights.

Lots of turbo lag and dead below 2000 rpm.

Farmyard idling particularly when cold.

Belts, tensioners and radiator all hard to remove as engine bay access is very poor.

Brakes could be a little better.

Good

Perfect ride and handling balance.

Rewarding drivetrain when driven correctly

No major mechanical vices.

Very good heating and airconditioning.

Motorway performance very good.
