Superb high performance comfortable salooon with real presence

I have had a couple of suspension/brake problems with this car but they were sorted out under warranty. If you buy a 5 year old car like I do (40,000 m for £15,000, new cost £60,000) and run it into the ground you have to expect a few niggles but normally they appear in the first 12 months so buy from a Jag dealer with a comprehensive warranty for peace of mind.

It's not cheap to run - insurance, tyres and petrol - but the biggest cost of running a car is depreciation and if you only pay £15K for one of the fastest, lightest and most comfortable cars on the road you can't go far wrong. Tax is only £245 as it's a 2005 model and servicing is surprisingly reasonable frrom Jag dealers who really look after you. Mine is ultramarine blue with cream leather - nice!

Performance is simply breathtaking and this car accelerates as fast as you need to on 1/4 throttle but just occasionally it's nice to give it a blast and it'll amaze you with its supercharged go.

Economy isn't too bad as its all aluminium body is quite light and I get 33 mpg when driven at a steady 70 mph. What more could you want from a car - great looks (better than the new one I think), low depreciation, mile-eating ability, smooth ride, all the toys and sports car performance? I love it (as you've probably guessed)!
