Great car but keep on top of the maintanance

I drive lots of cars and these are still among the best ever made.Nothing beats it for quality, engineering and the drive. But these are way more elaborately engineered than an Escort, humdrum saloon or even many new cars.Keep them properly serviced (good specialists out there) and budget for cooling system components and suspension.Neglected ones can rust, fully galvanised from new but some have been put back together......the best ones are STANDARD not owned by the Barry and Wayne brigade. The six cylinders are super smooth and reliable but thirsty. These cars won't be built again, so the best will obtain classic status and shoot up in value. I own a later E60 which has been great but more compicated and the cost accountants paid a visit when doing the interior
