Best Executive car ever built

Been looking for one of these ever since I was at the launch way back in 1996 working for BMW.Rumour has it the engineers were given a virtual blank cheque to make the finest car ever.Still drives great with that silky engine, auto box and great ride/handling.Now used as a second car,but still prefer it to my company A4 2017.Can be quite costly to run, with expensive alloy suspension arms that can wear, but I sourced mine from independant specialists.Pretty reliable and still taut and rattle free after 260,000 miles or so.Quicker than my 190BHP Audi diesel but obviously heavier on fuel, about 27MPG average against 50 or so.
