Exceptionally well built car, much under-rated

This car replaced my 12-year old A6 quattro, which was an excellent car. It is a lovely car to drive, and more comfortable than my old A6. The build quality is exceptional, and the engine/drivetrain combination is very smooth and quiet; the DSG gearbox is superb. It is also very fast. Previous reports of excessive oil consumption appear to have been fixed - after 2500 miles the oil level has dropped by about 1/3.
Fuel economy: the car is capable of 35mpg if nursed at 50-60mph, however I am averaging 31mpg on mixed driving. 80mph on the motorway returns around 30mpg.
A six month wait for the car is quite a long time, but I would rather wait than buy a car that had sat in a compound for months beforehand. This also means that you can choose the options that you want, and you don't need to spend a fortune (£1600 for sat-nav is a complete waste of money in my opinion), but leather and a few other extras are worth paying for and should help the residual value.
For winter I have fitted Goodyear Wrangler AT/R's - more suitable than the Factory Dunlop's for snow and muddy tracks, but slightly noisy.
The car was supplied by Crawley Audi and the level of service was superb. I have not had reason to return!
In summary this is an exceptional car that is a pleasure to own and drive.
