the moaste comfey rewarding dureable user repairable practical clasic i can think of

1.8 base modle no gagets to wrong old vdub golf engin in slightle tweeked webber carb form ,suprises some as you pass at 95 with no engin noise , very good body -galvanised everythin about it seemsto havebeen designed to take on the world and win look at wat BL was churnin out at the time . i bought it in 98 it sat on my moms drive 7 years i got it back on the road last year needed onlt tires and wiperblades. sod the renault with loades a storage pocets to fill with c*** get a proper car thatle probley last for ever. downside- dont buy cheap frount tires the breakes are like stepin into a lift shaft an hittin the bottom. the hydraulic accumilator/ bomb on the breakes/ steering doesent last forever lessining breaks and heaver steering betray this fault not massivly cheap . all in all a very drivable long range cruser ive cloked mine at 50 mpg on a holiday aroun the ilse of white beat that for an old petrol car...
