the best looking car on the planet?

When buying I was advised that you do not buy an Aston Martin with your head, you buy it with your heart. and a deep pocket.
You never get over the jaw dropping good looks every time you approach the car. Inside it is classic English design, with most of the toys you would expect from a car that cost £78000 new
.
It is a GT not a pure sports car, and if viewed and used as such, never disappoints.
It is comfortable, easy to drive, has sufficient boot space for continental trips for two (I have completed three so far with a fourth planned).

21mpg is easily achieved, including numerous occasions dropping it into sports mode, and 'giving it the beans'. Servicing charges are reasonable using a specialist independent garage although parts with that 'Aston Martin' tag can be expensive. Fortunately a number of items are Jaguar so it is not all pain. One essential you must have is windscreen insurance, mine was damaged and Autoglas charged £8500 (eight thousand five hundred pounds!) to fit a new one!

In four years, I have replaced the rear sections of the exhaust with stainlees steel, the brake discs and pads all round, two rear tyres and wiper blades which any car of that age might need. The gearbox wiring loom caused the biggest headache, yellow dashboard lights, limp home mode etc but was replaced for £1350, with no more problems.

I regularly show the car and it is much admired. It is unlikely to depreciate as DB4/5/6 prices have ascended into the stratosphere! Where else can you spend your money and have so much pleasure (in motoring terms) ?
