Are there issues with buying a car with a Northern Irish registration?

I am interested in a Ford Puma at Arnold Clark which has a Northern Ireland registration. Can you please tell me if there are any issues with this car being registered in NI?

Also I’ve heard Irish cars can be more expensive to insure in Scotland. Do you know if this is true, or perhaps just applies to cars registered in Ireland.

There should be no issues with a car registered in Northern Ireland being owned anywhere else in the United Kingdom, which of course Scotland is a part of.

It is possible that insurance companies will charge more for a car registered in Northern Ireland, but this will depend on the insurer, so we would suggest speaking to your insurance company first.
