Chip van?

My son has a 2005/55 VW Transporter 1.9TDI (85bhp). The van runs out of warranty soon, so, as he finds it a tad pedestrian, he is thinking about having it chipped. He has read about a re-map product from "Superchips" which he can get fitted locally (Plymouth) for £425 inc VAT. Is this the best route to go down and is it a good product? Another important question is can it do any harm?

The problem is a comparatively small, weak motor for a comparatively big vehicle. It really needs the 2.5. Superchips can't perform miracles. But they are the best in the business. And do a removable re-programme called ‘Bluefin’ for VAG diesel engines. www.superchips.co.uk and www.mmybluefin.com
