A sweat box
Great performance coupled with a decent sound track. Surprisingly good on fuel too. However the car interior gets so hot its almost unbearable. Despite the HJ review saying brilliant parts availability thats not really the case. Some components are difficult to source. Some trim items are really cheaply made.
Mine had the latter gearbox which was trouble free but the earlier 77mm LT box can be a weak link.
Boot space is very poor, just like a B but worse owing to the bigger spare wheel. Rear quarter visibility is also poor with the roof up as the are no side windows in the hood.
The wood veneer also need care as it can delaminate. like mine did.
