Fantastic car,

I bought my car 2 years ago just as it was turning 6 years old. But like many S2000's it hadnt done a lot of miles, just 31,000. 2 years on its upto 43,000, and just as you would expect from a Honda nothing has gone wrong, fallen off or failed. Servicing is cheap outside the dealer network too.

Some reviews suggest the car is twitchy. This is not my experience, although the electric power steering took a little while to get used to. the gear change is great and the handling is enjoyable, although the tyres are so wide it just grips.

Reading about the car in reviews you might think its all about the engine, and of course its a cracker when you really rev it, but in truth its very usable day to day when you might never reach the v-tec zone.

Its a really nice place to spend time, with a comfy seat, slightly hard suspension, but excellent damping takes the edge off the hard ride. The roof goes up or down in around 6 seconds, and the heater is almost too hot even mid winter to have on full, so you can drive top down almost any day its not raining.

Insurance is surprisingly reasonable, fuel consumption is in line with the Honest John Real MPG, and easily exceeds the official figures, and as my car is pre 2006 its only band K for road tax. All of which makes it a really low cost, enjoyable car to own.
