THE GUARDIAN
Triumph Motors at Coventry was working normally yesterday apart from the strike by its 400 toolroom workers. Production was lost on four days last week and several thousand men laid off because 37 maintenance men were on strike over a pay claim.
They returned on Wednesday, but production could not begin again until they had repaired machines which had broken down. The 2,700 Triumph workers at the two factories at Speke, Liverpool, returned to work yesterday after being laid off last week because of a strike of toolmakers in Coventry.
