8 January 1969
DAILY MIRROR
Proposals for a return to work will be put to 200 Rover assembly workers today.
The men went on strike on Monday after being asked to do the job of a sick truck driver at the plant at Solihull , Warwickshire. He returned to work yesterday.
A spokesman for the car firm, which has lost £100,000 in production of its 3.5 saloon, said: "We are very hopeful that the men will return to work."
