Terms Agreed For Peace At Dunlops

14 March 1963

From Our Labour Staff

Terms for settling the strike at Dunlop's factory in Coventry were agreed at a meeting in London last night. If they are approved by the strikers at a mass meeting tomorrow it is expected that they and nearly 5,500 workers laid off by the British Motor Corporation will resume work on Monday. The strike started over the dismissal of two shop stewards.

The production of Mini vehicles stopped yesterday and that of M.G. cars and Morris 1100 cars stopped the day before. Workers have been laid off because some components for the vehicles were no longer available from the Dunlop company.
