A new £550,000 building has been completed at Longbridge, Birmingham to house most of the British Motor Corporation's design departments previously scattered throughout factories.
Mr Alec Issigonis, the firms technical director said last night: "Design activities of all our cars have been concentrated in this one building, except for sports cars which remain at Abingdon."
