B.M.C. Appointments

13 June 1959

Messrs T. A. E. Layborn and S. J. Wheeler have joined the board of the British Motor Corporation.
Mr Layborn, deputy chairman of C T. Bowring and Layborn, was appointed a director of Austin Motor in 1957.
Mr Wheeler was appointed a director of Austin in 1955 and a joint secretary of B.M.C. on its formation in 1952.
Messrs R. A. Stormonth-Darling and E. Price have joined the Austin board.
Mr W. H. Davis has been appointed local director.
Mr Stormonth-Darling is a partner in Laing & Cruickshank the London firm of stockbrokers.
Mr Price is deputy chairman of Fisher & Ludlow and a joint secretary of B.M.C.
Mr Davis, general works manager, served his apprenticeship with the company.
