Can I replace my Audi A6's low profile tyres with standard fittings?

I have just a purchased an Audi A6 Avant (08) 3.0 TDI quattro that has factory-fitted Michelin 255/35ZR19. Over 40mph, these tyres have a very obvious resonance which really is annoying. I'm not a great fan of low profiles anyway, and want to know if it is possible to replace these tyres with standard fittings. They are fitted to Audi seven-spoke 19-inch alloys.

Standard fitting was 17-inch so these will fit around the brake callipers. Junk the stupid 19-inch wheels (or sell them to a fashion fool) and replace with standard 17-inch wheels with 225/55 R17 Michelin Pilot Primacy HP tyres.
