My Ford Galaxy smokes on start-up - is this related to my recent head gasket change?

I was driving my Ford Galaxy diesel on the motorway at around 70mph when it just lost power, and now there is loads of white smoke and maybe a slight bit of blue smoke mixed in with it on start-up. When you rev it it's even worse and you can't see a thing. The head gasket was done about 300 miles ago.

White smoke reads like a repeated head gasket problem. It could be that the first time the head warped slightly and it has been impossible to re-seal it without a special head gasket. Even that may not have worked.
