Why is the dip beam on my Kia Sportage so poor?

I traded in my 2010 (Limited Edition) Kia Sportage and purchased a 2015 model (same colour, spec, shape, etc) and we went from having really good range and width of beam on both dip and full to almost none. Still on a 55W system. Dip beam really short and on minor or non classed roads we have almost no forward vision and lose sight on the verge when another car approaches. Also noticed poorer full beam range and width. Why is this?

I would guess that someone has turned the beam load compensator to compensate for a heavy load in the car and has not turned it back to normal when the car isn't loaded. If you can't find a thumbwheel adjustor on the dash, then check the driver's manual. You might have to do it by one of the column stalk settings adjustors or a settings menu on the touch screen.
