Where's my Vauxhall Astra's temperature gauge?

I have a 55-reg Vauxhall Astra Life diesel 1.7 CDTi. Where is the water temperature gauge?

I don't know offhand. There should be a gauge with a thermometer sign on it, possibly the only gauge apart from the speedo, tachometer and fuel gauge. Or maybe the car does not have one at all, just a cold coolant/over-hot coolant warning light

My temperature gauge barely moves even after a good run. My Mitsubishi Shogun is a 2000 GLS 3.2 DI-D. Is this common?. Also my heating is only lukewarm is this connected?
