Buying a new coupe - Audi TT or BMW 4 Series?

I want to buy a new diesel coupe. It must be exciting to drive, automatic and four-wheel drive. Also handy if I could get my golf clubs and trolley in the back. I quite like the Audi TT and 4 Series - which would you recommend?

Any Audi TT will be a DSG so that immediately forces me to recommend the torque converter BMW auto.

Handles as impressively as you’d hope, handsome styling makes the newer 4 Series look fussy, wide range of strong petrol and diesel engines, plenty on the used market.
Still looks sharp with a fantastic interior. Good to drive and strong engines.
