Is a problem with my Chrysler Voyager's fuel gauge related to an immobiliser fault?

I have a 1998 Chrysler Voyager which I have owned from new. Recently I have had immobiliser problems (which are covered in your forum) but also the DTE and fuel gauge drop rapidly to zero when the tank is about half full. The low fuel warning light comes on and then, after a time, the DTE and fuel gauge slowly return to a reading that fluctuates (slowly) before settling. Is it possible that the immobiliser and false fuel reading are linked?

I can't tell you. Failures of individual components can strangely affect others.
