Indicator fault on Renault Clio

My daughter has a 2007 Renault Clio with a persistent n/s front indicator fault. The car has been back to the local Renault dealer four times and each time the car returns, apparently fixed, but it is usually only a few days before the indicator malfunctions again.

Usually the earthing fault is with the side repeater indicator in the front wing or door mirror, but any garage with any sense would know this.
