Hyundai i10 causing strange smell - what is it?

My wife owns a 2008 Hyundai i10 and is very happy with it. However, it has a hot smell outside when you get out of the car after a relatively short run of five miles or so. It has been back to the dealer two or three times, but they can find nothing amiss, do you have any thoughts on what may be causing this?
