Extended warranty won't pay for fuel pump failure - what can I do?

My second hand Ford Mondeo has suffered a digital fuel pump failure, which has ruined the injectors. I bought the car from a dealer in September and paid extra for an extended warranty.

After months of messing me around the warranty company has declared they will not pay for the repair as it’s a wear and tear issue. The dealer has also washed their hands of it, despite the fact they verbally told me the warranty covered fuel pumps. Is my only option the small claims court?

Yes. Small Claims Track of the County Court. Your case is against the dealer who sold you the car and the warranty, not Autoprotect. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
