My car has been crashed and repaired badly by previous owner - what are my rights?

I purchased a used 2005 Honda S2000 from a main Honda dealer under their approved used car scheme in August 2012. The car came with a three year Honda warranty and I was told the car was HPI clear and had never been involved in any major accidents.

Last month, I noticed some rust on the driver's side rear wheel arch. I took the car to Honda's bodyshop and was informed that the car had been involved in a heavy crash and had a new rear 3/4 section, which had been welded and painted badly, hence the rust. Do I have any rights to get this fixed?

Yes you do. The dealer was actually liable to inform you of the damage under The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 that creates an offence of misleading omissions which would not previously have been an offence if the consumer had not asked the right questions.
