Has anyone renewed their joint fully comprehensive insurance for less than £270?

I will be 70 this year and obtained my driving licence in New Zealand at the age of 15 (driving age is still 15 today). I hold a normal car licence at the moment but have also held an HGV and a bus licence previously as well. I have lived and driven in Australia (two years), England (12 years), Germany (20 years), New Zealand (16 years) and Oman (five years). I have also driven extensively in many other countries during 1.7 million miles travelling by air on business and for holidays. I have owned a large variety of cars, from more sporting ones when I was younger (Triumph TR3A, MGB GT and a Datsun 260Z+2) to more sedate ones (Audi A6, for example) in later years. My current car is a SEAT Altea. During my 55 years of driving, I have never made an insurance claim nor had an insurance claim made against me. I have just renewed my fully comprehensive insurance for my wife and me for €325 (around £270).
