What is this knocking sound coming from my Nissan Note's power steering?

When moving forward at low speed in my Nissan Note with a lot of steering lock applied, I can hear and feel a 'knocking' from the front. Could this be from the steering or suspension? Should I be worried? My dealer says this is common on this car.

Never, ever apply full lock and power at the same time in a front wheel drive car because that is asking too much of the driveshaft CV joints.
